Exploring the Elements of Design through Photography - Emily G

This image shows Composition. It shows composition because the tables and the chairs are arranged which makes it look good and appealing but also it is considered as a work of art due to how its arranged.

The image shows Balance. It shows balance because the tables and the chairs show a symmetrical design and the elements which are being shown are equal between each other and they are aligned.

This image shows Rhythm. This image shows rhythm because the shapes and elements are repeating but is a bit different by the faint branches shown on the window also showing movement in the branch fainting as it moves to the left.

This image shows Pattern. This image shows pattern because the handles and the lines keep repeating eventually creating a pattern with a handle and a thin line then handle and a thin line again which is a repeated design.

This image shows Variety. This image shows variety because the image shows a bunch of books which have different colors and sizes and every book being shown on the shelf has a different variety of books and is diverse.

This image shows Proportion. This image shows proportion because all the elements in composition relate to each other and is comparable relation to whole since the table is being surrounded by the same element but is just different by the color.
This image shows Unity. This image shows unity because the design works together to create a soft harmony between the elements and most of them work as a whole as the rectangles being shown form into whole as it contributes into the image that is also formed as a rectangle.
This image shows Emphasis. This image is emphasis because the pillar being shown in the image is the center of attention and makes the person that is looking at the image focus on the pillar since it blurs out everything else in the background. This also gives a special value to this image due to how its built and its in the middle of the room.

This image shows Contrast. This image shows contrast because it uses different elements like the chair and poles being shown but it also has different textures like the floor, the poles, and the chairs so it gives difference between the things being shown.
